Materials and Overview
4-5 Colors in similar weight and appropriate hook for yarn. Medium weight yarn is recommanded!
Darning needle and scissors for finishing are also needed.
Day 1 Motif
You need 3 colors with this motif. Color 2 is your flower color!
With Color 1, make an adjustable ring.
Round 1: Ch 3, 11 dc in ring, sl st to top of beg ch, fasten off Color 1. [12 dc]
Round 2: With Color 2, sl st in the back loop of any sp from round 1, ch 3, dc in same sp, 2 dc in each back loop sp around, sl st to top of beg ch, fasten off color 2. [24 dc]
Round 3: With Color 3, sl st in the back loop of any sp from round 2, ch 3, dc in same sp, [dc in next, 2 dc in next] around, sl st to top of beg ch. [36 dc]
Round 4: ch 3, dc in same sp, *ch 2, 2 dc in next sp, hdc in next 2 sp, sc in next 3 sp, hdc in next 2 sp, 2 dc in next sp, repeat from * around, sl st to beg ch. [16 dc, 16 hdc, 12 sc, 4 ch-2 sps]
Round 5: ch 3, *dc in each sp to ch-2 sp, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp, repeat from * around, sl st to beg ch, fasten off Color 3. [60 dc, 4 ch-2 sps]
Round 6: with color 1, sl st into any ch-2 sp, ch 1, *(sc, ch 2, sc) in corner sp, sc in each sp to next ch-2 sp, repeat from * around, sl st to first sc, fasten off. Weave in all ends. [68 sc, 4 ch-1 sps]
First Surface Round: with front loops from top of Round 1 and color 2- sl st into any loop, ch 1, sc in same sp, *[hdc, 3 dc, hdc] in next sp, sc in next sp, repeat from * around, sl st to first sc, fasten off.
Second Surface Round: with front loops from top of Round 2 and color 2, sl st into any loop, ch 1, sc in same sp, *[hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc] in next sp, sc in next sp, repeat from * around, sl st to first sc, fasten off.
Day 2 Motif
You need a minumum of 2 colors with this motif. There are 6 colors in the pattern below but if you only use 2-5, that is ok- adjust color order accordingly. 5 colors are for the flower and the 6th is the square.
With Color 1, make an adjustable ring.
Round 1: Ch 1, 8 sc in ring, sl st to front loop of first sc. [8 sc]
Round 2: In front loops only (top of Round 1), (ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st) in first sp, (sl st, ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st) in each of next 7 sps, fasten off color 1. [8 “petals”]
Round 3: In back loop only of top of round 1 and with Color 2, sl st into any sp, ch 3, dc in same sp, 2 dc in each sp around, sl st to front loop of beg ch. [16 dc]
Round 4: In front loops only (top of round 3), (ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st) in first sp, (sl st, ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st) in each of next 15 sps, fasten off color 2. [16 “petals”]
Round 5: In back loop only of top of round 3 and with Color 3, sl st into any sp, ch 3, dc in same sp, [1 dc in next, 2 dc in next] around, sl st to front loop of beg ch. [24 dc]
Round 6: In front loops only (top of Round 5), (ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st) in first sp, (sl st, ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st) in each of next 23 sps, fasten off color 3. [24 “petals”]
Round 7: In back loop only of top of round 5 and with Color 4, sl st into any sp, ch 3, dc in same sp, [1 dc in next 2, 2 dc in next] around, sl st to front loop of beg ch. [32 dc]
Round 8: In front loops only (top of round 7), (ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st) in first sp, (sl st, ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st) in each of next 31 sps, fasten off color 4. [32 “petals”]
Round 9: In back loop only of top of round 7 and with Color 5, sl st into any sp, ch 3, dc in same sp, [1 dc in next 3, 2 dc in next] around, sl st to front loop of beg ch. [40 dc]
Round 10: In front loops (only top of round 9), (ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st) in first sp, (sl st, ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st) in each of next 39 sps, fasten off color 5. [40 “petals”]
Round 11: In back loop only of top of round 9 and with Color 6, sl st into any sp, ch 3, tr in same sp, *ch 2, (tr, dc) in next sp, hdc in next 2 sp, sc in next 4 sp, hdc in next 2 sp, (dc, tr) in next sp, repeat from * around, sl st to beg ch. [8 tr, 8 dc, 16 hdc, 16 sc, 4 ch-2 sps]
Round 12: ch 3, *dc in each sp to ch-2 sp, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp, repeat from * around, sl st to beg ch, fasten off Color 6. [64 dc, 4 ch-2 sps]
Day 3 Motif
You need 4 colors with this motif. Color 3 is your flower petals!
With Color 1, make an adjustable ring.
Round 1: Ch 3, 15 dc in ring, sl st to top of beg ch. [16 dc]
Round 2: sl st into sp between posts, ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), [dc in next sp between posts, ch 1] 15 times, sl st to 3rd ch of beg ch, fasten off color 1. [16 dc, 16 ch-1 sps]
Round 3: With color 2, sl st in any ch-1 sp, ch 3, dc in same sp, 2 dc in each ch-1 sp around, sl st to top of beg ch, fasten off Color 2. [32 dc]
Round 4: With Color 3, sl st into sp between pairs of dc from previous round, ch 1, sc in same sp, *ch 3, sk next 2 dc**, sc in sp between posts, repeat from * around ending at **, sl st to first sc. [16 sc, 16 ch-3 sps]
Round 5: sl st into ch-3 sp, ch 1, sc in same sp, *7 tr in next ch-3 sp**, sc in next ch-3 sp, repeat from * around ending at **, sl st to first sc, fasten off Color 3. [8 petals of 7 tr]
Round 6: With Color 4, bp sl st around any sc from Round 4, ch 3, *bp slst around next sc, ch 3, repeat from * around, sl st to first st. [16 bp slst, 16 ch-3 sps]
Round 7: sl st into ch-3 sp, ch 4, (2 tr, ch 2, 3 tr) in same sp, *3 dc in each of next 3 ch-3 sps**, (3 tr, ch 2, 3 tr) in next ch-3 sp, repeat from * around ending at **, sl st to beg ch. [36 dc, 24 tr]
Round 8: ch 3 (counts as dc), *dc in each sp to ch-2 sp, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp, repeat from * around, sl st to top of beg ch, fasten off Color 4. [76 dc]
Day 4 Motif
You need 2 colors with this motif. Color 2 is your flower petals!
sc4tog with 4 petals: (insert hook into next petal, yo and pull loop through) 4 times, yo and pull through all loops on hook
With Color 1, make an adjustable ring.
Round 1: Ch 1, 8 sc in ring, sl st to first sc. [8 sc]
Round 2: ch 1, 2 sc in same sp, 2 sc in each sp around, sl st to first sc. [16 sc]
Round 3: In back loops only, ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next 2 sps, *sk next sp, ch 3**, dc in next 3 sps, repeat from * two more times, repeat from * to **, sl st to top of beg ch. [12 dc, 4 ch-3 sps]
Round 4: ch 3 (counts as dc), *dc in each sp to ch-sp, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in ch-sp, repeat from * around, sl st to beg ch, take hook out of loop and put stitch marker in loop (do not fasten off). [36 dc, 4 ch-3 sps]
Petals Round: with color 2, sl st into front loop of any sp at top of round 2, *ch 18, sl st into front loop of next sp, repeat from * around, fasten off color 2. [16 ch-18 petals]
Round 5: Take stitch holder off loop and pick up loop, ch 1, sc in same sp, *sc in each sp to corner ch-sp, find 4 petals that line up with corner sp, (sc, ch 1, sc4tog with 4 petals, ch 1, sc) in corner sp, repeat from * around, sl st to first sc. [44 sc, 8 ch-1 sps, 4 sc4tog]
Round 6: ch 3 (counts as dc), *dc in each sp to corner, dc in ch-1 sp, ch 3, dc in next ch-1 sp, repeat from * around, sl st to top of beg ch. [44 dc, 4 ch-3 sps]
Round 7: ch 3, dc in each sp to corner, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-sp, repeat from * around, sl st to beg ch, fasten off Color 1. [60 dc, 4 ch-2 sps]
Round 8: With color 2 and wrong side facing up, sl st into any ch-sp, ch 1, *(sc, ch 2, sc) in sp, sc in each sp to corner sp, repeat from * around, sl st to first sc, fasten off. [68 sc, 4 ch-2 sps]
Day 5 Motif
You need 3 colors with this motif. Color 2 is your flower petals!
With Color 1, make an adjustable ring.
Round 1: ch 3, 2 dc in ring, *ch 6, sl st to top of last dc completed**, 3 dc in ring, repeat from * 6 more times, repeat from * ending at ** for 8th loop, sl st to top of beg ch, fasten off color 1. [24 dc, 8 ch-6 loops]
Round 2: With color 2, sl st into middle dc between two loops, *sk dc, 12 dc in next loop, sk dc, sl st in next dc, repeat from * around, fasten off color 2. [12 dc in each of the 8 petals]
Round 3: With color 3 and working behind petals made, sl st in any sp where sl sts were placed in previous round (middle dc of set), ch 1, sc in same sp, *ch 5, sc around next sl st sp, ch 3**, sc around next sl st sp, repeat from * around ending at **, sl st to first sc. [4 ch-5 sps, 4 ch-3 sps, 8 sc]
Round 4: sl st into ch-5 sps, ch 3 (counts as dc), (2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in same sp, *3 dc in ch-3 sps**, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in ch-5 sp, repeat from * around ending at **, sl st to top of beg ch, [36 dc, 4 ch-3 sps]
