Overall Pattern and Colors Notes

Pattern Skill Level: Easy / Easy-Intermediate for Dual Colored Succulents

With the four colors included in the box, you have many options to choose from in terms of combinations. The complete picture is only an example of a color combination. The Planter Cover uses up a lot of one skein of yarn but the remaining yarn of that color can be used for one motif or to edge the dual colored succulents.

To create your complete planter cover, the planter cover is created with the color of choice. After that, if string of pearls are desired, make the amount you would like in mixed lengths. Six completed ones are shown in the example but more or less can be made depending on what you would like. You can also skip String-of-Pearls completely and just make succulents for the entire top. With the remaining yarn, make your desired succulents in different sizes and colors. There are 3 sizes and 4 options of succulents to fill in the space with variations! There are solid colored pointy petal succulents, dual colored pointy petals succulents, solid colored round petal succulents, and dual colored round petal succulents in small, medium, or large sizes each.

Finishing All Succulents and Overall Pattern

To finish the succulents, take the long tail and a darning needle. Roll up from the smallest petals on the inside to the largest ones on the outside. Securely sew them in place as you go or after positioning all the petals as desired. Ensure the overall succulent is secured in form desired. Repeat for all succulents.

To finish the overall pattern:

After making the cover, the string-of-pearl strands can be tied onto it from the center. Around the string-of-pearls, determine placement of the succulents on cover as desired. Sew all succulents into place and weave in all ends. Your succulent storage planter is ready!
